Aiming for his first win, Kevin Diks is ready to play again for Borussia Monchengladbach at Union Berlin.

Indonesian national team defender Kevin Diks has shifted his focus to Borussia Monchengladbach after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the fourth round.

Kevin Diks recently played for the Indonesian national team in two crucial matches against Saudi Arabia and Iraq. However, the Garuda squad will likely miss out on next year's World Cup after consecutive defeats.

Kevin Diks will next play for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season, which is entering its seventh week.

Gladbach is scheduled to host Union Berlin at the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Borussia Mönchengladbach is currently in the relegation zone, sitting in 17th place. They are second from bottom with three points and have yet to win a single match.

German football media outlet Bundesliga News reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach, strengthened by Kevin Diks, is aiming for a win at Union Berlin.

An additional three points would significantly help Die Fohlen climb the Bundesliga table.

"Borussia Mönchengladbach will be eager to secure their first Bundesliga win of the season against Union Berlin," Bundesliga News wrote.

Before the October 2025 international break, Mönchengladbach played their sixth matchday against SC Freiburg at home. Kevin Diks and his teammates struggled to win, only managing a 0-0 draw.

Another advantage Kevin Diks and his teammates can bring to their visit to Union Berlin is their two consecutive wins from last season.

Kevin Diks only joined this season, but last season Gladbach successfully defeated Union Berlin twice, winning 1-0 and 2-1.
